Born in Hong Kong in 1963, Mike To draws his inspiration from the throbbing multiethnic environment he grew up in. To has been an enthusiastic painter and artist from childhood on. In 1985, he graduated at the Institute of Art and Design. In 2003, he successfully completed his studies at the prestigious Hong Kong Art School. Since 2005, Mike To has been designing furniture items at his own Objects Design Studio.

His products feature a combination of traditional Asian accents transfused with Western Modernist elements. Furthermore, Mike To’s highest aim is to ensure that each of his exciting and innovative furniture items also has a functional use.
Mike To was awarded with several prizes for his work. In 2000, he won the Hong Kong Art Award. And in 2009, he was awarded with the Honorable Designer Award in Singapore.
